The reason for NSK motor bearing rusty are complex, it maybe antirust handled improperly, may be caused by moisture, or mist. Here is the detailed reason: There are four main volatile acids from insulating paint that most motor factory use: ① unreacted raw acid component of the paint (anhydrous iso-phthalic and terephthalic acid, anhydrous maleic acid, fumaric acid). ② acid component while paint curing generated (phenolic modified paint, water from formaldehyde into formic acid). ③ resulted lower fatty acids while heated or oxidation decomposition (formic acid, acetic acid): Grease adsorbed the volatile acidic components of the paint, caused deterioration of grease and the acidic components promote the hydrolysis of grease, causing the NSK bearing corrosion. The working principle of grease is to use the layer of grease separate the ball and inner, outer raceway using oil viscosity characteristics attached the surface of ball and raceway and separated metal interface of ball and raceways, reducing the metal surface wear and protect the metal from corrosion of air and water, to reduce vibration and noise, promote NSK bearings smooth rotation. But after the deterioration of the grease, the viscosity will change, oil d film break , grease separator function and adhesion characteristics loose, lead to such consequences: First, the acidic component of insulating paint directly oxidize metal surface, causing bearing corrosion. Second, causing the direct touch between steel ball and raceway , causing friction while turning , lead to noise increases.
