 Technicians of ZKL returned from a visit to China. The goal of their visit, however, was not tourism or business negotiation, but installation of ZKL split bearings PLC 512-73, bearing elements and shafts establishment directly at the customer - a major mining company. Once the final conditions have been clarified with the customer, ZKL workers together with construction workers of the mining company began the installation itself. Practical training was also provided during the whole installation. The bearings are lubricated with the grease ZKL LVT 2EP. Bearing elements are equipped with electronic temperature sensors. These sensors allow monitoring of bearing temperature directly from the service office. Vibration level of the bearings was measured during the initial operation. It should be noted that the presence of Chinese technical staff from ZKL China office was a great help during the installation itself, mainly due to the necessity to clarify all details in Chinese language. According to customer's request ZKL will participate in other projects in Chinese mines, where ZKL roller bearings should replace worn competing bearings not only in lift for miners transport, but also for the transport of excavated material.
