Schaeffler company recently said it would broaden the  scope of cooperation, joint develop new engines and powertrain technologies. 

Last week, Schaeffler CFO Klaus Rosenfeld said the company plans to deepen and Continental's cooperation, including in the areas of engine and powertrain technology, "Our goal is to improve the process by the end of 2015 and increase engine efficiency." The Schaeffler board member Peter Gutzmer pointed out: "in close cooperation with the continent remains more potential, since past efforts can go a step further." 

Rosenfeld emphasized, on the one hand to strengthen collaboration with the mainland, chaeffler Group's automotive business will continue to be the main driving force behind revenue growth, global passenger car and light commercial vehicle production continues to rise.
